Tightening up - brakes

Postby Joe11700 » Mon Jun 15, 2015 6:52 am

Hi All

My 2005 Dynamique 1.9dci's brakes stop stopping when asked heavy-footed questions. The initial braking seems strong, but then they seem to fade and the car takes longer than I'd hope to stop. The bods at Renault here in France suggested new brake pads.

Questions:

- Will the braking performance improve considerably with new pads alone?
- Is there a quick upgrade I can get here while this work is being done - perhaps even new callipers etc?

Any input would be highly appreciated

Thanks, Joe
