megane 53 1.5dci should i? heard terrible things

hi all

total newbie from cliosport.net, if your from there you mayve seen my 172cup/TT engine'd project not sure... anyway, My 2nd runaround car died yesterday and i like the look of the megane 1.5dci's... Seen one that i want to see tomorrow but its done aliot of miles 128k (sounds like my old spectrum!).

I can get it for about £1500 and only needs to last me a couple of years and ill be happy...

Anyway, all seemed fine, the reviews on autotrader (hmm) seemed great but then came accross this thread on the astra forum...

To say the reviews are shocking is an understatment and im wondering whether to even go ahead with seeing it tomorrow or not!

what age mileage history 1500 is a tad high and i'd go for 1.9 dci but only as thats what i have lol

if you already admire renault and have a project 172 you'd no its pot luck bud, i has one on 102k and it ran better than the one i had on 60k
