The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hi folks !
I'll be picking up a 2007 1.6 dynamique soon,its done 115k miles mostly motorway but it's still on its original clutch.I'm guessing it wont be long before it needs replacing so i'm wondering how much is this gonna set me back ?
I have test driven the car and the clutch feels fine although the biting point is incredibly high but i've read this is normal.

So i have picked the car up and all is good but i notice that if i'm stationary or driving quite slow i can hear a knock when i steer left or right from wheels centered position,it only needs a slight turn either direction to hear this knock and then if i turn the opposite direction as soon as it passes wheel centered position it will knock again ???

I was told the track rod ends need replacing so could this be why it knocks ?
Any advice is much appreciated.

yes it could be that, also it should knock while passing over bumps and speed ramps.
