Engine mis-firing help!!

Hello,

I have a Megane 225 Trophy 2005, and upon trying to start it this morning the engine is mis-firing.

I tried several times to start it, but no luck!!

I then called out a mobile mechanic, who didnt have a clue apart from taking it back to the garage to plug in for further diagnostics.

If anybody has any ideas would be much appreciated, as i don't fancy paying £40 + VAT to be told what the issue may be.

Is the engine mis-firing while runing or
is it mis-firing that bad it wont start

Hello,
It literally wont start, I have left it all day and tried again tonight, but still nothing.

I am getting it picked up in the morning, but dont fancy the garage trying to rip me off, so any ideas would be appreciated

It cant be that many things if it wont start....
Is it turning over normally and just wont start ?? ie: no spark or fuel
Is it turning over normally and trying to start but wont actually run ?? ie: fuel starvation or bad spark

My 225 has developed this problem this week
Sounds like it's missing g and won't fire up unroll about the 3rc or 4th time of trying thinking a bad spark did you resolve your issue ?? Response would be greatly appreciated
