Buzzing sound (not a wasp!)

Hi again,
More annoying little problems with the 225 I bought a couple of weeks back......I wonder if anyone has had the same problem with a 'buzzing' sound, which seems to be coming from close to the seatbelt pillar on the driver's side. It sounds at about 30mph and upwards; a bit like rain falling on thin tin-plate would be a fair description. I wondered if it was anything to do with the window glass? Thanks.

My 5 door 'B' pillar used to make a similar noise. It was the plastic trim panels vibrating - solved with silicone paste.

I don't know whether the 225 has a 'B' pillar... (never seen one in detail).

Hi, Yes, that's about the area it's coming from, but, Silicone paste? I'm not too much of a DIY'er, so could you elaborate just a little please? :-)
Many thanks.

Pieces of plastic trim can rub against one another creating a buzzing sound. Take the outer piece off, lube where it mates with the other part with silicone paste (any good motor-factor) and re-install. Don't use standard grease - it eats plastic. Wipe away any excess.

Worth a punt for the small outlay of a tiny tub!
