Getting Renault to pay for a Dephaser, out of Warranty..???

Has anyone actually managed it???

We have an 03 plated Megane, that was making the dreaded noise well within the warranty period, but, as usual, Renault couldn't find anything wrong with it (it went in about 3 or 4 times...!!!) since the warranty has expired, it has got worse :banghead

Must admit I am a bit p*ssed with Renault, as knowing what I do now, it was the dephaser all along... :mad

So, has anyone actually managed to get Renault to admit to c*cking up, and got them to cough up for a new unit???

Cheers

Guy

The fault obviously occurred within warranty, so if youve got the history documented regards the original investigations then i can't see how they wouldnt pay for it.

Renault will never admit to it been a "common issue"...it would cost them too much money.

i had my dephaser replaced under warranty...

mines a 53 plate, done 52k... although i had already paid for it and they had fitted a faulty one...

so even the new ones can be faulty haha.
