vibration

Postby miked82 » Sun Aug 31, 2014 4:31 pm

since having the car it has had bad vibration in the cab, after hooking up to a machine and getting faults read we had a look at the enjectors and noticed 2 were out. So thought thats the reason why..a miss firing?? So replaced them all, a week later its still doing it. It did however boost and run how it should but still bad vibration. I doubt theres anyway a map sensor, turbo pressure sensor or egr valve will cause such vibration.
Am thinking possible engine mounts, exhaust mounts or exhaust etc ive looked under the car but cant see anythin lose or obvious. Stuck for ideas on this

Most likely engine mount, i have same issue, along side with gearbox mount as well.

Have figured out its in Limp Mode. Stupid thing is, every now and then, 'check injector' and 'service' come on and thats when its bad. When they randomly go off the car is fine,no vibrations, really quiet and boosts well. So now doubting its an engine mount but possibly a faulty sensor or even a electrical fault or even the egr valve :banghead :banghead

Hi, did you think about the crankshaft and camshaft sensors? I cleaned the crankshaft sensor (2 hours work) this week and also replaced the camshaft sensor (easy 0.5h) on my 1.5 dCi 2006 345000km. The cars engine thereafter is running as quiet as I cannot remember before! I should have done this before.

Hi Irkirk, did you find cleaning/replacing the sensors you mentioned help reduce vibration when on the overrun? My 215km 1.5 dci seems to be a bit boomy when lifting the gas off at speed when say approaching a red light, roundabout etc, so thinking of having a go to see if I can improve this. :)
