Centre clock LCD bust - downgrade? Affa 3 to Affa 2

Hi there my sat nav unit is bust on my megane 225 and I'm going to replace the whole lot with a double din unit and reverse camera. Also the centre clock lcd is bust. It's a sat nav car so it has the AFFA3 - NAV unit which obviously I don't need - does anyone have any experience of retrofitting the more basic centre lcd screen - the AFFA2? The only reason I ask is that the AFFA3 is 80 quid on ebay and the affa2 is mcuh cheaper and I don't need the functionality anyway.
