Intermittently the wipers come on with ignition

Hi guys, thank god there's a Site dedicated to the Megane II.

I have just purchased a 07 Megane II, and intermittently when you turn on the ignition the wipers come on and you have to wait a minute and you can then switch them off with the stalk. What could be happening? Also have noticed that the floor pockets are getting wet, im going to check behind the front scuttle tomorrow (weather Permitting) to see if the drain holes are blocked.

Please can you help!! my car has only done 59000 miles from new.

UPDATE

Problem now fixed, it was the Wiper Motor at fault..
