Dashboard lights always on, some faint

Hi all, my issue is as follows...
Upon locking the car (normal and deadlock), approximately 50 seconds later (it has been around 30 seconds a few times) the dipped beam symbol and the service light come on, sometimes they flicker. They stay on permanently however long the car is left. Also, the engine temp backlight is constantly on but very faint, and the speedo and rev needle lights are constantly on but also very faint. These are always on and dont come on after 50 seconds.
I have searched the forum but nothing quite matches the fact that they come on after 50 seconds. Any help will be appreceiated and I will be happy to write up the casue and fix once I know.
