The Mégane II Owners' Club

Due to quality French engineering my underbody engine tray came loose the other day as there where not enough useable bolts left to hold it on which has now been rectified but I could have sworn that when I got the car there was a guard that ran down the length of the car covering the exhaust & pipes but that is not there now.

I have tried googling the part but it doesn't seem to exist & there is no mention of it in the service manual so am I just imagining it?

It all seems very clean (given that I live 1/2 mile up a very muddy track) & very exposed for there not to have been a cover.
