Indicators not working

Hello all,
My first time back on the forum for 4 years. I’m resurrecting my Megane II hatchback, 1.4 16 valve registered 2005, for my stepson to use. It’s been off the road for almost 4 years.
The first problem I have encountered is that the indicators do not work.
Nothing happens at all when you signal left or right.
However, when the hazard light switch is pressed, all the indicators work as they should.
Has anyone encountered this problem and what the solution might be?
