It will not be the motor, as the speed is controlled by the Rheostat..

Is this a Megane Hatch or Megane Scenic?

Common problem on the scenic where the rheostat and connector overheats.. Rheostat and connectors have to be replaced.. To do this the dash has to be removed.. 2.5 hour job..

On the Hatch it only takes 1 hour and is accesable from the passenger footwell..

Fan Rheostat

Postby DJC013 » Tue May 22, 2007 9:35 pm

Hello Webcode, the fan on my 2004 Scenic has just started playing up. Is there a modified rheostat that i can order from Renault, and do i need a new connector as well ?? Regards Damian.
PS Could i fit the new parts myself ?? :)
Thanks in advance.

Wow 6 years and no reply!!

As of yesterday my number 4 fan setting has stopped working. Is this a motor or resistor problem? I have an 2.0 litre Petrol 2004 Hatchback.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Any chance of one of my questions being answered please? Seems to be a theme on this forum!

My no. 4 fan speed still doesn't work. Would replacing the Thermal Resistor fix this?

Thanks

Fantastic, above and beyond the reply I was expecting. Thank you very much.

Especially with the video link. Looks easier than I thought it would.

Cheers.

The heater is good and bad a the same time, if you will carelessly use the heater then you may you’re your life too and it will be dangerous. So before using any heater always read essayshark review because this will be so helpful for you.
