Hi I have a megane cabriolet and the roof won't work automatically - does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix it - all this lovely sunshine and I can't put the roof down - without a lot of effort
I can't find a service manual that covers it

Do you have the old type cab or the new CC?

Yes it does beep and if I keep pressing the button - then the metal cover goes up and then nothing - I have to climb on the seat and do my daily workout !!

Does the handbrake have to be on to open the soft top? (I can't remember, it's years since I drove one.)
If so then the handbrake switch/wiring may be at fault.

Seeing as the metal cover and the canvas part have to work in a choreographed fashion and only the cover is working, maybe when the metal cover goes up, it is supposed to trip a switch to allow the canvas part to then retract?
