Hey,
I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem. i own a 2006 megane I and its running now slightly over the 50,000 KMs. My problem started not less than 3 months ago. whenever i started the engine in the morning (when the car was cool), i would hear a very weird and noisy sound coming from the engine, more like the sound of plastic sprockets not aligned but then the sound fades and the car is normal.
1 month ago, alongside this weird noise, the car did not start. it kicks in but the motor dies. i do this several times until it starts after the 4th kick or something and i am having this problem still. i went to the dealer's but as always "The car is perfect".
i read that this might have something to do with the TDC sensor linked to the engine control unit but i honestly believed that Renault might have dealt with this problem on 1.0 models. did anyone have similar problems and is the TDC sensor really the root cause of this problem?
I appreciate your prompt help. Thanks!
