I own a 1998 Megane 1.6 RT, and the head gasket has given way. Does anyone know the exact angle torque settings for the head bolts for that model as I am getting conflicting information.

Hi all,
I own a 1998 Megane 1.6 RT, and the head gasket has given way. Does anyone know the exact angle torque settings for the head bolts for that model as I am getting conflicting information.

Get Dialogys manual from the Internet, p2p networks, usenet or ebay (£5 for a CDROM). It contains many books describing everything in detail. I've posted the link to Megane II manuals into our Links section, so for Megane I it will be similar. I am sure I've seen the files in English for your model somewhere on the Internet.
