Hi, just replaced old Megane dci (9 years) for a mk3 1.5 dci, the problem I'm having is, that the blower has just stopped working (no speeds )
it has climate control, I have removed the glove box to take a look, looks like previous owner been under there before ( missing screws and clip on resistor is loose). Can anyone please shed any light onto this problem …….. Thank you Jim

Re: heater
Generally this will be fan motor
Resistor stops fan working on all but full speed when power is straight through.
Unless it has burnt wires somewhat common in the mk2 I believe it was something to do with the earth wire.
If previous owner has been in there clearly they have not fixed it. So to me if you havnt got burnt wires to resistor then that sounds suspiciously like the fan motor has gone kaput, don't supose it's blown a fuse? I wouldn't be that lucky.
Don't take my word on it so some checks with a test lamp try and see if its getting power but really most likely a fan motor. If anything like the pollen filter it will be a pig to fit.

Thanks for the reply Chris , i known its not the motor, as I was removing the plug from the resistor the whole lot came away and at that point it touched the cars bodywork ant the fan kicked into life ( Thank god , I heard its a dash out job ) so i guess it might be a wiring problem !!!!
Thanks again Jim
