Megane window at an angle

Postby Lostboys » Fri Dec 17, 2021 4:01 pm

Hi
I desperately need some advice, my 2009 Renault Megane passenger side window is going up at an angle, I went to open it yesterday whilst driving as I could not see mirror (rain on side window) the next thing I heard was a loud bag, I looked across and the window is now leaning towards front of car and will not go back up straight, in fact its even leaning outwards so will not stay in rubber grove up these side of the door, I have taken door panel off but need advise as there is only 2 small inspection holes, covered with foam.

Any help would be much appreciated, all electrics work fine.

UPDATE!
I have removed door panel and sound proofing patch, there was the answer, window scissor frame bent and not in ball joint anymore, I have straightened frame and ball now sits in ball joint, but when window is raised up near being closed, ball pops out of joint again.
Not sure if window is stiff or ball joint is damaged, what is the technical name for the slider with ball socket hole in it?
