I was just thinking that the current megane 2 starts from about 8 or 9k and the 3 door is cheaper than the 5 door. But for some reason the 3 door of the megane 3 range will be more dearer than the 5 door. But that is from what I understand from reading some magazines.

Taking the prices of the megane two the cheapest megane 3 will be above 10k. Does this mean the megane is now a bit too pricey for the average Joe?

i think their trying to reflect the quality in the price, slowly moving towards golf type prices.
trying to move upmarket a bit, i guess.

Give it a year and then check prices on somewhere like TSB Car select. I expect you'll be able to knock a couple of grand off the MRP by then.
