I have an 06 1.5 dci that is £100 a year car tax, however I keep seeing these mentioned with £30 tax? Are these the cars with that stupid exhaust particle filter thing to get the emissions down perhaps?

Is yours a 106 or does it have a sunroof as if yes to either of those that'll push the vlf up ;)

Is there any way an 86 bhp model would be £100 tax? Because that's what I thought I had

No sunroof. I'll have a look at the paperwork see if it says...

Is it showing as euro4? It should be but I think some slipped through that weren't which is where there could be an issue.

Is yours the Sports Tourer (estate) ?

The estate is heavier than the hatchback so emissions are slightly higher.

Yes its an estate. Can't see anything on paperwork I've got. Is there any difference under bonet?

No difference under the bonnet but the heavier weight of the car requires slightly more fuel to accelerate it and therefore more emissions out of the exhaust.

I think the £30 tax limit is 120g/km of CO2 which the hatchback only just meets and the estate is just over at 124 g/km of CO2.

Bummer.

:(

Ahh that's why then. Still rather have the estate though it costs more :D
