Warning message "Steering Check"

Hi all,
I replaced my steering rack about 6 months ago and ever since I get a message on the readout on the dash "Steering Check"
I have had a wheel alignment and the garage didn't know anything about it or how to remove it.
I don't know if it somehow connected but I also have an airbag light on my dash illuminated ever since I replaced the steering rack. I have had someone look at that and apparently there is a loose connection somewhere?
When I turn the car on the service light flashes and then seconds after I start driving, it just stays on.

I hope someone out there can help me with removing the warning lights/message.
