Hi Peeps,
I am getting my Megane 2 on Saturday and would like to put a DAB adapter in there. Issue is that we are in a poor signal area. Has anyone got any advice on installing a DAB aerial suitable for a poor area? Best I guess would be to replace the existing FM aerial and replace it with something DAB compatable. Not even sure if that is possible.
If I can't do that then I guess something on the windscreen but I do not hear good tings about them ... unless someone here knows better.
Looking forward to getting my MEgane on.
Everso.

Re: DAB in Sunderland/Newcastle area.
Yes very possible
I replaced mine with a JVC AVX-2 single din cd/dvd head unit the add on DAB tuner and replaced the aerial with a JVC dab aerial.
Everything was picked up excellent. I live just outside Newcastle.
Everything is still in my garage as took it all out when sold the mk2

Ah - so there is hope.
So replace the existing aerial with something like this

if I am reading you right...
From what I read the head lining is held with velcro so it should be quite east to run the cables...

This is the ones I have
https://www.amazon.co.uk/JVC-HAL2-Roof- ... dab+aerial
http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/JVC_HAL-2_ ... erial.html
http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_ST ... erial.html
Open the rear hatch, Pull off rubber seal - careful of sealant grease.
Two clips on roof lining to remove.
This will give you hand access carefully reach in to release Velcro.
Think its a 19mm spanner to loosen nut.
Need to run the dab cable to head unit but the am/fm is a fakra connection behind C pillar
